Italian text: Lo scontro al quale assistiamo oggi tra Medicina Ortodossa e Medicina Alternativa, non rappresenta un fenomeno moderno, come a prima vista potrebbe apparire; esempio eclatante di quanto appena affermato ci viene dalla figura di Francesco Racanelli, medico esemplare ma anche dotato di particolari se non eccezionali poteri di guaritore. Racanelli nasce nel 1904 e fin da piccolo scopre di possedere nelle mani quella che lui stesso, in seguito, definirà come "forza della medicina bioradiante"; fin dalla giovane età quindi si scopre guaritore ed esercita le proprie facoltà sugli animali, che riesce a guarire con la sola imposizione delle mani; in seguito si trasferirà a Firenze, città nella quale scoprirà che le sue applicazioni apportano effetti benefici anche agli esseri umani. Esercitò le sue facoltà senza mai chiedere nulla in cambio, ma nonostante la sua conclamata buona fede, venne denunciato per abuso della professione medica. Durante il processo, Racanelli scelse di difendersi da solo, si laureò in giurisprudenza ed ottenne la piena assoluzione; questo però non cambiò il corso degli eventi, seguirono infatti sette anni di persecuzioni con ben cinque successivi processi. Nonostante l'accanirsi dell'intera classe medica, Racanelli continuò a studiare, conseguì anche la laurea in medicina e si dedicò alle specializzazioni più difficili; nel volgere di pochi anni divenne uno tra i più importanti ricercatori e relatori ai convegni di medicina in ambito internazionale. Francesco Racanelli rappresenta quindi un caso quasi unico, il momento nel quale medicina tradizionale e medicina ortodossa hanno operato in sinergia, traendo da questa inusitata collaborazione risultati ai limiti del miracolo vero e proprio. Il primo guaritore italiano, divenuto anche medico, l'uomo dai fluidi prodigiosi ed al contempo il professionista serio e scupoloso, è morto nel 1977, nel più assoluto silenzio e anonimato; è andato via lasciando migliaia di persone che gli debbono tanto, mille domande senza risposta e soprattutto l'idea che mistero e scienza non sono poi così lontani o incompatibili tra loro, hanno solo bisogno di dialogo serio e costruttivo, poichè entrambi vivono e sopravvivono per un unico scopo, aiutare l'uomo a coltivare in un corpo sano uno spirito altrettanto vitale.
